The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) responsible for operations, Mr Stain Chaima has on January 16, 2026 visited Kawale Police with a call to enhance service delivery to communities.
Mr Stain Chaima (DIG), moving with the vision of taking back Police to communities urged officers to consider patrols in various parts of its policing area as it will not only increase police visibility but also tame crime at grassroots.
He therefore, called upon commanding officers to engage their subordinates to serve the people of Kawale diligently by, among others, doing routine duties like foot and vehicle patrols.
“Increase police visibility in your area through patrols as a proactive measure that will help in crime reduction,” said Chaima
His surprise visit was aimed at appreciating the services offered by police in the area through patrol duties.
After patrolling different parts of Kawale, the DIG met the Officer In-Charge (OC) for Kawale Police Station Mr Devlin Mwamkili (DCP), who expressed his profound gratitude to the DIG for the timely visit which he said will help officers to align with the IGP’s vision of ‘taking Police back to communities ‘.
Mr Mwamkili promised to soread the message and make sure that everyone up the game in drawing nearer to the communities through patrols and awareness meetings which will help in crime reduction.
