Chitipa United Football Club has suspended three of its supporters from representing the team. The suspended individuals are Amos Simchimba, Nelson Kayuni, and Samson Sibale. The club announced the decision as part of an internal disciplinary response.
The suspension follows allegations that the three were involved in a ticket forgery scandal. The incident reportedly occurred on April 20, 2025, at Karonga Stadium during a league match between Chitipa United and Ekhaya FC. Investigations into the matter are currently underway.
A letter from the club’s General Secretary, Watson Kabaghe, confirmed the suspensions. He stated that the decision was taken to allow a smooth and interference-free investigation. The club aims to establish the truth behind the accusations without distractions.

Kabaghe also expressed strong disapproval of the alleged misconduct. He condemned the theft and unauthorized sale of tickets, calling it an act that undermines the spirit of sportsmanship and fairness in football.
He reaffirmed Chitipa United’s commitment to fair play, transparency, and maintaining the integrity of the game. The club has promised to take necessary steps to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.
