The leader of the Enlightened Christian Gathering International, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, has announced plans to distribute maize to over 1 million people affected by hunger in the Malawi.
Speaking in Mzuzu, Prophet Bushiri revealed that the initiative will see the distribution of 17,000 bags of maize worth 14 billion Kwacha.
He has appealed to companies, organizations, and everyone willing to collaborate to come forward and contribute generously to alleviate the suffering of millions of Malawians facing hunger in various parts of the country.
According to Prophet Bushiri, the initiative aims to assist Malawians affected by hunger due to various factors such as Cyclone Freddy.
Bushiri has urged government authorities, large organizations, and individuals to ensure that the relief efforts reach all those in need.
