In a heartwarming turn of events, the Karonga Queens netball team is set to realize their dreams of competing in the Salima Sugar Netball League national finals, all thanks to the generosity of business tycoon Alufeyo Decon Chipanga Banda. His pledge to provide the team with vital transportation assistance has breathed new life into their journey.
With a budget of K1.2 million required for the trip, Karonga Queens found themselves with only K200,000 at hand. The situation seemed daunting until Chipanga Banda extended a helping hand to ensure they reach their destination.
Catherine Shama, the dedicated coach of Karonga Queens, expressed her gratitude for this crucial transportation assistance from Chipanga Banda. As the team gears up for the upcoming journey to Lilongwe, Shama appeals to well-wishers for further support, particularly in covering accommodation and food expenses during the tournament.
The team is scheduled to commence their journey to Lilongwe on the 26th of October, poised to represent the Northern Region alongside Ekwendeni Resources Netball in the Salima Sugar Netball League national finals, commencing on the 27th of October, 2023.
