Police in Kawale are keeping in custody George Zuze (18 )for defiling a 11 year old girl which is contrary to section 138 of the penal code.
The incident occurred during the night of August 31,2021 at area 44, Tambalare.
According to report lodged at area 23, the suspect enticed the girl to spent a night at his house and while there the suspect defiled the helpless girl.
Traumatized with the act the girl narrated the ordeal to her parents the following morning who further reported the matter to area 23 Police unit.
Referral letter was issued by area 23 Police and Medical practitioners from Kamuzu Central Hospital have confirmed that the victim was defiled .
Following the investigations, in the wee hours of September 3,2021 area 23 detectives arrested Zuze.
The suspect will appear in court soon to answer the charge leveled against him.
Zuze hails from Kapeni Village in the area of Traditional Authority (TA) Tsabango in Lilongwe District.
