His Excellency the State President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has this morning left for Maputo-Mozambique to attend the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Extraordinary Double Troika Summit.
The summit will, among other things, discuss the establishment and operationalisation of the Humanitarian and Emergency operation Centre and review the security situation in the Region.
The President was seen off at Kamuzu International Airport by State Vice President Dr Saulos Klaus Chilima, cabinet ministers and other senior government officials.
He is expected to arrive back later this afternoon at 17:00Hrs.
