Failure in class claims life

SUICIDE.
Occured on 01/04/21 at Loyola secondary school in Kasungu district.

Mr Hopson Laisi, Aged 52, Village Chisemphere, T/A Lukwa, District Kasungu, Occupation Teacher, C/O Loyola Secondary School reports in that a form three Student Chisomo Suluma, Date of birth 17/03/2002, of the village Kachingwe, TA Mpando District Ntcheu, has died suddenly after hanging himself to death This incident occurred at Loyola Secondary School which is Situated at village Juma TA Kaomba, district Kasungu.

Facts are that the deceased was a student and after eating supper he told his close friend that he will find him at prep. When his friends checked him, he was not found .

Later he was found hanging to death using a mosquito net behind the hostel.

Matter was reported police and scene was visited where by he was searched and no any document was found with him.
After thoughly check in one of his bag a suicide note was found where he disclosed his motive. He said that for so long his friends have been mocking him as a failure is class, as Evidenced by the last examination where he got 19.5 out of 60.
But according to his teachers, they said he was better off than other students in his class.

Postmortem has been conducted and the results has showed that the death was due to suffocation secondary to hanging.No foul play suspected.
