It is alledged that a Woman in Balaka (name withheld) died of Asthma, but on the contrary note medical personnels confirmed as she died of COVID19 pandemic.
The health workers from Balaka had to proceed all laid down procedures to burry the deceased despite the total denial from the community and the family of the deceased since they knew that their relative was asthmatic.
Avantmalawi gathered that the son to the deceased who happens to be a Doctor in Lilongwe became furious upon hearing the allegations against his mum and had to travel all the way to confirm whether his mother has died of COVID19 or the mayor asthma.
To his surprise, his mother’s sample tests revealed a negative Covid-19 status this raising anger of the community to deny Balaka health personnel to proceed with burial arrangements.
