In a continuous move to bring awareness to residents of Kawale, on Wednesday January 13, 2021 Kawale Community Policing conducted a whistle stop tour within the area to bring awareness on the strict measures set by the government task force on Covid-19- to be followed as one way of fighting the spread of the virus.
The whistle stop tour was launched by the Officer In Charge for Kawale Police Station, Mr Almakio PG Daka, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), who met owners of night clubs at M1 center point on January 11, 2021.
During today’s whistle stop tour, police officers who were joined by officials from City Council also visited night clubs and bars where the message was delivered.
Police reiterated the habit of some people especially in market places who want to be followed for them to put on face masks and observing social distance.
Police during the whistle stop tour reminded the people to use hand sanitizer, putting on face masks, observing social distance and avoiding groupings.
