Kawale OC unveils security framework, calls for CPF revamption

The Officer In-Charge OC for Kawale Police Mr Marko Mvukuta Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) has on April 15, 2026 unveils his security plans for his policing jurisdiction with a call to revamp Community Policing Forums (CPF) in Area 22, Chipasula, Mkomo and SOS

The OC, was speaking during the meeting held at Tsabango Community Secondary School in Kawale after noting some security lapses in the area due to faded zeal amongst communities to participate in neighborhood watch forums.

The OC who was flanked by the General Duties Officer (GDO) Superintendent Mike Simika and Station Criminal Investigations Officer (SCIO)shared various security tips, calling upon local leaders to take an active role in security matters by among others having active CPF teams, reporting suspected individuals to police.

“The fight against crime needs a collective approach, not leaving it to police alone” Said Mvukuta.

The Station Traffic Officer further warned against road obstruction during funeral ceremony citing that it not only breaches traffic regulations but also poses a threat to mourners and denies the rights of other road users.He therefore asked chiefs present to swiftly change this tendency and gather on open grounds away from public roads.

The ward councilor for the area Kefasi Chilera expressed his gratitude for the meeting, calling it impactful, promising his total support towards all the shared security concept.He continued by calling upon chiefs to actively participate in the fight which will help in slowing down criminality creating fertile ground for development.

Speaking on behalf of other chiefs, Block leader Jere welcomed the deliberations and promised a positive response.

Winding the meeting Inspector Mayeso Chikadza Community Policing Co-ordinator further discouraged child marriages, urging chiefs to respect boundaries whenever such cases arise.
