Police officers wives under Kawale have been asked to be helpers of substance to their spouses.
The call has been made on November 28,2025 by the wife to the out going Officer In-Charge (OC), Mrs Jean Chiralire during the farewell party organized by the Station’s welfare comprised of female police officers and wives to police officers to bid farewell to the two Kawale top bosses wives.
In her good-bye speech, Mrs Chiralire highlighted the need for police wives to be industrious and take an active part in boosting the financial muscle of their families.
She therefore, called upon all police wives under Kawale welfare to be prudent with their hands and bring a financial change to their families.

“A home that lucks is prone to misunderstandings, unfaithfulness which brings stress issues, and eventually constitute to untimely death which dooms the future of the children.” Said Chilarile.
Mrs Chilarile, therefore appealed to the welfare team to keep her dreams alive by among others maintaining her vision of skill development among police wives which was under conception level like tailoring, designing, baking and any other business that will positively uplift their financial muscles.
Mrs Chilarile further advised the women welfare to embrace love amongst themselves and uphold the standards as they shift to the new leadership.
Speaking earlier, Mrs Susan Zimba extended her gratefulness to Mrs Chilarile for her humbleness, and her active welfare involvement which has left indelible marks in her and set a benchmark for her to emulate that will not only be beneficial to her but also to those under her leadership.
Speaking on behalf of all women, Senior Supritendent Edna Nthete, who is the Station’s Welfare Matron bade farewell to the two, expressing her profound gratitude for their committiment demonstrated during their time at Kawale.
“We say good-bye to you all but not with a merry heart, losing two youthful members at once is deemed as big loss to us, your zeal towards welfare activities will be greatly missed here in Kawale”. Said Nthete
She however wished them well to their new duty Stations, urging them to continue the pace.
As an honor to them, Senior Supritendant Edna Nthete promised the out going wives to the OC and SO to push for actualization of skill development vision among police spouses as a catalyst to expand financial muscle in their families.
Mrs Jean Chilarile and Susan Zimba follows their husbands transfers to Blantyre and National Police Headquarters respectively.
