His family has expressed deep sorrow over his passing, highlighting the significant work he did in serving God.

“He leaves behind children who need care. He was a loving man, enjoyed socializing with people, and was a champion of justice. However, since God has called our brother, to Him be the glory forever,” the family mourned.

Bishop Kapenga passed away on Sunday at Queens Hospital in Blantyre after a month-long illness. His body will be laid to rest today at HHI Cemetery in Blantyre. He is survived by his wife and three children, and he was 49 years old at the time of his death.

His son, Waxy Kay, wrote, “We laid you to rest today, Dad, but our hearts are at peace because we know you’re in God’s loving arms. In everything, we give thanks to God for the gift of your life and the memories we shared.”
