During the Fresh Presidential Elections campaign, the People’s Beloved Tonse
Alliance promised to stop deducting pension contributory for the civil servants.
This deduction exercise has been running for the period of three (3) years. And this
has been a cruel activity done by the former administration of our Comrade Mr.
Professor.
To those civil servants under 35 years of age, this was a sort of relief, knowing that
they will be refunded their money, deducted by the dirty hands during the days they
spent in Babylon.
Really where there is light, darkness seems to be stronger also. Up to now nothing is
happening in regard to refund of the pension contributory deductions, adding salt on
the wound, the payers are still deducting that amount, which the former administration
used to deduct.
As am writing, I have seen several payslips for August 2020 and that money has been
deducted as well, leaving the civil servants hopeless now.
After noticing that there are also deductions in August 2020 pay slips, simple
questioned troubled my mind and here they are; “does this mean that government
has failed to implement its manifesto pledge to halt the deductions?”
If yes, “what does this mean to a civil servant who was attracted to vote for
Tonse Alliance in order to benefit from this campaign pledge?”
If no, then adhere to this friendly advice.
My advice to people’s darling, the beloved Tonse Alliance, “walk the talk”. Do your
best to stop deducting the Pension Contributory as per your promise and refund the
civil servants’ 3 years money that was mercilessly deducted by those whom we know.
