It has pleased his Excellency Dr Lazarus McCathy Chakwera to appoint Brian Banda as Presidential secretary who was working with Times Group. Brian Banda replaces Mgeme Kalilani who has served under the former Regime of Prof Peter Munthalika.
For further understanding of the positions of Pastor Sean Kampondeni and Brian Banda. Note that Pastor Sean Kampondeni is Director of Communication and Executive Assistant to the President, this was the position formerly held by Dr Bright Molande during APM’s time. While Brian Banda is State House Press Secretary which was the position of Mgeme Kalilani during APM’s time.
On the other hand, Dr Lazarus McCathy Chakwera has also appointed Lucius Banda as Presidential advisor of Youths and Arts. miss Martha Chikuni of Thyolo District as Head of Media and Marketing, Mr Solomon Kavuta of Kasungu District as state House Director of ICT.
Mr Overton Kondowe of Nkhotakota District as Special advisor on People Living with Albinism and Disabilities, Rev Brian Kamwendo of Ntcheu District as Special advisor on Religious Affairs, Sheikh Hashim Abbas of Zomba District and deputy Advisor on Religious Affairs, Major Precious Mahara Gausi of Mzimba District as Assistant Aide-De-Camp.
